Annual state-hours reconciliation calculator Australia
Reconcile entered annual state totals against one recorded schedule envelope, then express evidenced electrical input shares as annual equivalent full-load hours and modelled kWh.
Reconciliation sequence
Keep source records, arithmetic and unresolved time in their own places.
- 1Name the load
Carry one Group ID, Load line ID and recorded connected load.
- 2Set the envelope
Enter the annual operating envelope from the schedule record.
- 3Reconcile state totals
Enter up to four mutually exclusive annual state totals already reconciled externally.
- 4Evidence input shares
Use electrical input-power evidence for each populated state.
- 5Read the remainder
Retain unmodelled envelope hours for investigation or record notes.
Application search intent fit
Best for one load group with annual state totals that have already been reconciled outside the calculator.
| Search phrasing | Calculator note | Carry forward |
|---|---|---|
| Annual lighting state hours | Four entered mutually exclusive annual state rows. | Annual EFLH and modelled kWh. |
| Dimming energy reconciliation | Evidenced electrical input shares, not output commands. | State row references and evidence notes. |
| Lighting schedule remainder | Annual envelope less stated annual state hours. | Unmodelled time kept unresolved. |
| Annual control-state energy | One connected load and one recorded schedule envelope. | Later cost or comparison work stays separate. |
Input evidence boundary
The arithmetic accepts entered totals; it does not establish whether source periods overlap or whether evidence is complete.
| Input | What belongs here | What does not follow |
|---|---|---|
| Annual schedule envelope | Recorded annual operating window for the named load group. | A claim that every hour is modelled. |
| Annual state hours | Mutually exclusive annual totals reconciled externally. | Source-overlap verification. |
| Input-power share | Measured, manufacturer or control evidence for electrical input power. | A light-output or command percentage. |
| Unmodelled envelope | Envelope hours not represented by the four stated rows. | Off time, saving or a verified absence of load. |
Reading the result
Each output retains the difference between entered evidence and unresolved schedule time.
| Output | Meaning | Review action |
|---|---|---|
| Annual EFLH | Sum of annual hours multiplied by entered input-power shares. | Check the electrical-share evidence. |
| Modelled annual kWh | Connected kW multiplied by annual EFLH. | Keep tariffs and savings outside this result. |
| Modelled annual state hours | Sum of the four entered state totals. | Compare with the recorded envelope. |
| Unmodelled envelope hours | Recorded envelope remaining after the stated rows. | Investigate, retain or document the unresolved time. |
One load group
This calculator accepts one recorded connected load at a time. Keep groups separate when their load line, schedule envelope or states differ.
The result is easier to review when the Group ID and Load line ID remain in the source record.
Entered annual totals
State hours are entered annual totals, not reconstructed clock periods. They should be mutually exclusive before being placed in the four rows.
The calculator does not verify source-period overlap, duplicates or gaps in the records used to reconcile them.
Electrical input shares
Each share is an annual state electrical input-power share. It needs measured, manufacturer or control evidence suitable for the named load.
A dimming command or light-output percentage must not be substituted for electrical input power without evidence.
Modelled and unmodelled time
Modelled annual state hours are the sum of the four entered rows. Unmodelled envelope hours are the recorded annual envelope less that sum.
The remainder is not assumed off, absent, efficient or immaterial; it stays unresolved until records support a state.
Annual EFLH
Annual EFLH weights each entered state by its input-power share. A zero-hour row contributes no EFLH regardless of its entered share.
This makes the conversion explicit while retaining the annual hours that produced it.
Modelled kWh only
Modelled annual kWh multiplies the recorded connected kW by the calculated annual EFLH. It describes the entered model, not a bill or measured consumption.
Tariff, cost, emissions, upgrade and savings questions need separate inputs and owners.
Record limitations
A reconciled record can be useful even when it is incomplete, provided the unresolved envelope is visible. This page does not approve a schedule, installation or compliance outcome.
It also does not establish source overlap, prove electrical-share evidence or determine the cause of missing hours.
Review before reuse
Revisit totals when schedules, control states or connected load change. Preserve the evidence reference used for each state rather than replacing it with a rounded result.
Carry only the modelled kWh or EFLH needed by a later bounded worksheet, with its remaining limitations stated.
